Our system relies on the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System (HCDCS) developed by the World Trade Organization (WTO). The system also utilizes International Identification Codes (HS & SITC4-2006) and Multi-Jurisdictional Disclosure System (MJDS).
Our objective is to achieve seamless integration with numerous stakeholders, including the London-based Baltic Exchange, the Baltic Dry Index (BDI), Forward Freight Agreements (FFA), and Freight Derivatives. These transactions enabled by screen-based trading are cleared through five (05) clearing houses for freight: NOS Clearing/NASDAQ OMX, LCH, Clearnet, ICE Futures Europe, SGX, Shanghai Shipping Freight Exchange. Our goal is to provide a vertically and horizontally integrated platform for managing freight rate risk.
We seek to operate under the compliance frameworks of Central Bank, Sri Lanka Customs and Import & Export Control Department. In addition we will operate with myriad of global standard certifications: ISO/IEC 27001 Information security management, ISO 37001 Anti-bribery management systems, ISO 90001 - Quality management, ISO 31000 Risk management, ISO 50001 Energy management, ISO 14001 Environmental management, ISO 26000 Social responsibility, ISO 2121 Sustainable events, ISO 22005, ISO 4217 Currency codes, ISO 639 Language codes and ISO 8601 Date and time format.
